Designed by architect George Taylor, St John the Evangelist Church was consecrated in January It was built by the Nicholson family of Roundhay Park and Manor, many of whom are buried in the crypt. Inthe building was sold by the Church of England and it is now known as the Pentecostal City Mission als: added (33% photographed).

A new memorial in Roundhay St. John Graveyard by Sharon Donaldson In late February The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) erected a new memorial.

We know of no ceremony or announcement marking the event. The memorial contains a spelling mistake and the CWGC has been notified.

They will correct it. The new CWCG memorial can be seen in this image or viewed directly at the top of the drive up to Roundhay St. John's church. With plot numbers in the south churchyard the inscription reads: Gunner H.
